ROBERT CUCCIOLI (Ben) Broadway: Jekyll & Hyde (Tony nomination, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, FANY and Chicago’s Joseph Jefferson Awards), Les Miserables, and Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. Off-Broadway: 2019 season Robert was seen in the Red Bull Theatre production of The White Devil and as Caesar in The Gingold Group’s production of Caesar & Cleopatra. Both were the NY Times’ Critic’s Pick. Pre-COVID shutdown, Robert was rehearsing A Touch of the Poet for The Irish Rep. It did not make it to the stage yet, however this past September filming was completed on the play. It aired late October 2020 and again recently as part of The Irish Rep’s Winter Festival. Robert has spent much of this past year performing in live and recorded events to benefit struggling theatres and institutions such as The Actors’ Fund. SOPHIA TZOUGROS (Tess/Guard) Originally from Southeastern Wisconsin, Sophia is a recent graduate of Wagner College. In 2014 she was a finalist in the National High School Musical Theatre Awards. Theatre credits: Resident company member at Mac-Haydn Theatre (2017), Impossibly George (Reading), Celebrate the Moment (nightclub revue at The Laurie Beechman Theatre). LYNNE TAYLOR-CORBETT (Director) was nominated for two Tony Awards for her direction and choreography of Broadway’s Swing!. in addition to a Drama Desk nomination. She also choreographed Broadway's Chess and Titanic. Off-Broadway, she directed Wanda’s World for which she won the Callaway Award and a Lucille Lortel nomination.  Her production of My Vaudeville Man garnered a Drama Desk nomination. Cougar the Musical, for which she was the director and a contributing writer, ran for almost two years and is licensed worldwide. Her film choreography can be seen in the classic Footloose, My Blue Heaven and Bewitched.  She directed Real to Reel a film/ live action event developed in China and later presented at the Edinburgh Festival. Most recently, she directed Darlene Love's 2020 Christmas Special: Love for the Holidays. Ms. Taylor-Corbett has choreographed for numerous dance companies including American Ballet Theatre, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and New York City Ballet, most notably "Seven Deadly Sins" featuring Patti LuPone. She is the co-writer of Distant Thunder along with son, Shaun Taylor-Corbett, who is a mixed race Native American. Set on the Blackfeet Reservation, it will open the season in 2022 at the Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma. Ms. Taylor-Corbett serves on the Council of Advisors for the Association on American Indian Affairs and is a member of the Society of Directors and Choreographers.

 

BRIAN LAWTON (Stage Manager) is a dancer, instructor, choreographer, and director. He has an eclectic background in ballet, jazz, and modern as well as Latin and Ballroom dances with a specialty in the vernacular jazz dances of the 1920's-1940's. Brian has performed in Shakespeare in the Park’s Comedy of Errors, with the Red Hot Chili Peppers at Madison Square Garden and in their recent music video "Go Robot", and Swing! at Gateway Playhouse. He has traveled around the world teaching vernacular jazz, Charleston, and Lindy Hop. He often directs production shows for Norwegian Cruise Line and was the Choreographer and Associate Director of A Charlie Brown Christmas National Tour. During the pandemic, Brian has enjoyed editing videos for theatrical productions, being a virtual stage manager, and finding new creative ways to make art in this brave new world!

 

BENJAMIN A. VIGIL (Assistant Stage Manager) is a NYC-based stage manager and actor. After Keaton and the Whale, Hip Hop Cinderella, Black Butterfly, and Letters to Harriet Tubman, Benjamin is thrilled to be collaborating once again with Amas Musical Theatre.
