Americano! is based on the true story of a “Dreamer” inspired by 9/11, whose dreams were dashed when he went to enlist in the Marines on his 18th birthday.
His parents never told him he was undocumented, having brought him here when he was only 2 years old. Crushed, but resolved, this Dreamer went on to serve the only country he’s ever known in other powerful and surprising ways.
