JOHN KATZ –Artistic Associate
John Katz is an LGBTQ writer, performer, and producer who has performed professionally across North America in over 100 cities, appearing in more than a dozen productions at regional theatres and on multiple national tours. John recently served as a Production Coordinator at TRW Production, where he supported the development of new musicals through workshops, readings, and commercial development. John holds an M.A. in Arts Administration and Entrepreneurship from the University of Oklahoma and a B.F.A. in Musical Theatre from Webster University's Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts.
As a playwright and musical theatre writer, John's work includes CROSS-CONTAMINATED: A Gluten Free Musical, a heartfelt comedy about celiac disease and belonging; CONSERVATORY: The Musical, a coming-of-age story set inside a competitive theatre conservatory; UNPLANNED VISITORS, a contemporary murder mystery play; and the collection of one-act plays SURPRISE!, SUIT YOURSELF, and IT'S OVER.
John is passionate about creating theatrical work that is both entertaining and emotionally honest, with stories that invite audiences to laugh, reflect, and see themselves in unexpected places.
